Rotary Club of Dallas Celebrates Outstanding Service, Leadership and Community Impact
DALLAS, TEXAS —08/25/2026 — The Rotary Club of Dallas is proud to celebrate a year of extraordinary service, fellowship and community impact as members and club programs are recognized through a series of District 5810 Rotary awards.
The recognitions reflect the Club's commitment to “Service Above Self” and the many ways Dallas Rotarians are making a difference locally and around the world.
Among the year's notable honors is the Rotary Foundation Project Grant Award, recognizing the Rotary Club of Dallas for its exceptional commitment to international service and global health.
In May 2026, Dallas Rotarians continued a longstanding partnership in Ghana through a Rotary Global Grant focused on disease prevention and treatment. Working with the Ghana Ministry of Health, the Rotary Club of Accra Labone, the Marigold Foundation, Safe Haven Wellness and Medical Services, Rotary District 5810 and The Rotary Foundation World Fund, the team brought medical and dental clinics to four underserved communities.
The clinics provided dental care, medical evaluations, blood pressure and diabetes screenings, health education, medications and other essential services. The mission was designed to serve approximately 4,000 people, primarily women and children.
Beyond the numbers, the mission demonstrated the life-changing impact of Rotary service. On the first day of the clinics, two patients were identified as needing urgent medical attention and received potentially lifesaving care.
This is what Rotary is all about—people coming together to serve others and make a difference where the need is greatest. Our members continue to demonstrate that Service Above Self has no borders.
The Club was also awarded Most Fun Club, celebrated for the clubs commitment to fellowship throughout the year through events including Rotary Untied, Pop-Up Socials, Dockside gatherings, the Chili Cook-Off, cultural outings, Symphony performances, and the Big Splash Bash. These activities strengthened relationships among members while welcoming prospective Rotarians and creating opportunities for connection beyond the weekly meeting.
Together, these accomplishments demonstrate the breadth of the Rotary Club of Dallas—from international healthcare initiatives and community service to leadership, friendship and fellowship.

Club Award: The Rotary Foundation Project Grant Award
The Rotary Club of Dallas is proud to be recognized for its commitment to global health and international service.
In May 2026, our Club continued a longstanding partnership in Ghana through a Rotary Global Grant focused on disease prevention and treatment. Working alongside the Ghana Ministry of Health and local and international partners, our team brought medical and dental clinics to four remote communities where access to healthcare is extremely limited.
The mission was designed to serve approximately 4,000 people, providing dental care, health screenings, medications, health education, and general medical care.
In just four days, the clinics treated more than 3,000 people, including 1,215 patients in Kitasi alone.
But sometimes the greatest impact cannot be measured in numbers. On the very first day, two lives were reportedly saved because patients received care they otherwise may never have had access to.
This project brought together Rotarians, Ghanaian healthcare professionals, the Ministry of Health, and community partners—all working together to improve lives and build lasting relationships.
It is a powerful example of Service Above Self in action, and a wonderful reflection of what Rotary can accomplish when we work together across borders.

The Rotary Club of Dallas Knows How to Have FUN!
Fellowship is at the heart of Rotary—and this year, the Rotary Club of Dallas certainly knew how to have fun!
From our monthly Rotary Untied gatherings and spontaneous Pop-Up Socials, to ballet, Symphony performances, Dockside socials, our Chili Cook-Off, and the unforgettable Japanese Elvis night, our members came together to build friendships and make memories.
We also celebrated with families at our Big Splash Bash and combined fellowship with service through Pints for Polio.
These events remind us that Rotary is about more than meetings and service projects—it’s about friendship, connection, and having a little FUN along the way!
