Join us to review the GES Safer Streets final designs! The community-driven solutions include traffic calming, intersection upgrades, signage, wayfinding, pedestrian and bikeway improvements and more. Your feedback will be used as the project team prepares for construction in 2027.

DOTI is kicking off its annual LeafDrop program starting Mon., Oct. 5, through Wed., Nov. 25, allowing residents an opportunity to drop off their leaves and pumpkins to have them turned into compost, rather than ending up in the landfill.

Visit www.denvergov.org/leafdrop to find a site near you and download a coupon to receive a free five-pack of compostable paper leaf bags at participating Ace Hardware stores while supplies last.

Compost customers can dispose of their leaves in their green cart - no bagging needed! Sign up for a compost cart today and make fall yard cleanup a breeze.

Tonight, October 5, from 6:30 -9 p.m., the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project team will install the final two arches at Uinta Street.

Co-hosted by The Fax Partnership and Colfax small businesses, the very last watch party for the installation of an iconic station arch at Uinta Street will be at at Sarahi’s Kitchen (8135 E. Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80220). This event marks a significant milestone for the project, setting the final two of 32 station arches installed since May 2025.

Arch lift expected: 8- 8:30 p.m.

Set in the East Colfax Cultural District, the event will celebrate the many ways art builds community. Local artist Conner Choi, creator of the Uinta Street BRT canopy art, will paint a “live canvas” of the BRT arches, inviting every attendee to add a brushstroke. A second artist, Samantha Hutchinson-Ouranos, will unveil her mural on the exterior wall of El Chalate. The East Colfax Cultural District will also conduct a reveal for new street banners that will hang between Monaco and Yosemite streets.

Good news, Denver!
DOTI is pleased to announce that Solid Waste Management customers can now put food-soiled paper in their green compost carts! This means it's easier than ever to compost and keep materials out of the landfill. In addition to all food scraps and yard debris, residents can now compost the following items:
• UNCOATED paper plates
• Coffee filters
• Paper tea bags
• Greasy pizza boxes
• Sugar and flour bags
• Napkins
• Paper towels
• Wooden items (chopsticks, toothpicks, skewers, popsicle sticks)
• Paper egg cartons
• Food-soiled newspaper and paper bags

Colfax reopens from Broadway to Colorado Blvd on Sun, Sept. 27 for Bus-Only Lane Operations (BOLO)!

🚌 The 15/15L will operate from the center bus-only lanes, and 15/15L customers will board from center stations.
🚗 Drivers should travel in the outer lanes and turn left only from left turn lanes with the green arrow.
🚶 Bikes and pedestrians should cross at designated crossings.
🚴‍♀️ Bikes should NOT travel in the bus-only lanes. Nearby bikeways are encouraged.

BOLO will be in place from Broadway to Colorado Blvd until construction is complete throughout the entire corridor. At that time, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service, known as the Lynx, will replace the 15/15L bus routes.
