Happy Friday Detroit!

We’re ending the week with pride and gratitude.

Yesterday, DDOT proudly celebrated two new classes of Transit Equipment Operators as they begin their careers serving City of Detroit residents and visitors.

DDOT’s TEO Badging Ceremony is always a truly special occasion. We heard powerful stories about how this career has helped raise families, the appreciation operators receive from thankful riders, and the doors it has opened for people to grow from drivers into leaders at DDOT.

To our newest TEOs, the road ahead may bring tough days and difficult moments. This is not easy work. But when those times come, we hope you always remember this day.

Remember the pride of your accomplishment and how your family and friends felt witnessing it. Remember that your city is grateful for your willingness to step forward, serve, and help people get where they need to go everyday.

Thank you, congratulations, and welcome aboard.
