American Legion Green - Bryant Durant OK Post 039 is setup at the Durant Car Show on Main. Come out on beautiful day to look at the classic cars and stop by to say hello.

What a remarkable year for the American Legion Green-Bryant Durant OK Post 039, having successfully achieved most of our objectives; our membership has increased to 106%, representing a 10% growth from last year. We have attained financial stability, and our membership numbers are rising countywide. Our VSO has expanded from 2 to 4, with 3 more in development. Furthermore, our post is undergoing remodeling to enhance our service to the city of Durant and Bryan County.

Congratulations are in order for Gay Meisenhiemer on drawing the Queen of Clubs and winning $6.00.

June meeting is a wrap! Sandwich bar on this hot day for lunch. Kids making a flag poster. Awards presented to legionnaires and Sons for either member recruitment and for service to the post and community. Can’t wait to see what next month brings.
