What is Fisher House?

We are a nonprofit organization that provides a home away from home for military and veteran families while their loved ones receive care at a VA or military medical center. With 99 houses and counting, these comfort homes are built near major hospitals and offer no-cost lodging to families, allowing them to stay close during medical crises without the added financial burden of hotel and travel costs.

Since 1990, Fisher Houses have served more than 534,000 families, saving them over $650 million in out-of-pocket expenses. Each Fisher House is fully furnished, with private bedrooms and shared kitchens, laundry facilities, and living rooms, creating a sense of community and support during some of life’s most difficult moments.

It’s more than just a place to stay. It’s a place of healing, hope, and togetherness.

Through your donated hotel points, this program provides no-cost lodging to families while they receive medical care at VA or DoD medical centers when the Fisher House is not available. It ensures loved ones can stay close, offering comfort and support during challenging times.
