Every month, Foster Care Clothing Closet provides essential goods to children and families impacted by foster care. From clothing and shoes to hygiene items, beds, car seats, and other necessities, we're here to help families get what they need during some of life's most challenging seasons.

Since opening their home to fostering in December 2019, the Winfields have been part of the lives of more than 50 children and adopted three into their forever family!

Their heart for fostering is rooted in a desire to help keep siblings together and ensure every child knows they are loved, valued, and never alone. They believe fostering isn't always about forever; it's about showing up, providing a safe place, and loving children through whatever their journey looks like.

Their message to future foster families? Keep an open heart, give yourself grace, and remember that even the smallest acts of love can make a lifelong difference.

This month’s Leadership Florence experience focused on Visual Arts and Media, and we were excited to have two representatives from Foster Care Clothing Closet participating!

From exploring the Florence County Museum, FMU Performing Arts Center, Florence Little Theatre to learning more about local media, business, and entertainment, it was a great opportunity to discover the many things that make our community unique.

We’re so grateful to be part of Leadership Florence and for the opportunity to build relationships and become even more engaged in the community we serve. Thank you to the Greater Florence Chamber and all of the host organizations for investing in our leaders and our community!
