What a weekend at the Fire Museum!

With events happening all throughout the city, nearly 40 visitors walked through our doors on Saturday.

Behind the scenes, our volunteers were hard at work too. One crew was preparing Engine 1 for display at the First There First Care Conference, Engine 3 was proudly representing the museum at Annual Medals Day, and another team stayed at the museum greeting guests with smiles, sharing stories, and providing personalized tours.

It takes many hands to preserve history, honor our firefighters, and keep the museum moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who visited, volunteered, and supported us this weekend!

If you stopped by this weekend, we'd love to see your photos! Share them in the comments below. And if you enjoyed your visit, please consider leaving us a review. Your photos, reviews, and kind words help more people discover the museum and the stories we work so hard to preserve.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms who answer calls both at home and in the firehouse. ❤️🚒

To the firefighter moms, dispatcher moms, fire wives, and the women who hold everything together while serving others… thank you. Your strength, sacrifice, compassion, and courage often happen quietly behind the scenes, but they never go unnoticed.

Whether you’re running toward emergencies, supporting your family through long shifts, or teaching the next generation what service and love look like, today we celebrate YOU.

From all of us, Happy Mother’s Day to the women who protect hearts both on and off the job. 🌸🔥

May the Fourth be with you…
but around here, the Force looks a lot like a fire hose.

Today we’re celebrating two things:
Star Wars Day
International Firefighters Day

Because let’s be honest…

If the galaxy needed saving,
we’re pretty sure firefighters would show up before the Jedi.

They don’t need lightsabers.
They’ve got turnout gear.
They don’t use the Force.
They use training, grit, and a whole lot of heart.

At the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum, we get to share the real-life heroes behind the gear, the history, and the stories that shaped our community.

So today:
Honor a firefighter
Remember the legacy

And yes… enjoy a little Star Wars fun too

💬 Help us say thank you.

Drop a ❤️ or tag a firefighter who deserves recognition today.

🐾 Max’s Museum Adventure Alert! 🚒

Hey friends… Max here 👋

Guess what?

The museum is OPEN tomorrow from 10 AM to 2 PM, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a great day to explore.

There’s something big happening nearby (👀 hi, Tortuga Music Festival crowd), which means lots of people are already out and about…

So if you’re looking for something fun, a little quieter, and way cooler than you’d expect…

You should come see me.

🚒 Climb aboard real fire trucks
🧯 Learn how firefighters keep you safe
🔍 Go on a scavenger hunt (I might help… maybe)

I’ll be there, probably asking too many questions and checking everything out.

Come hang out with me?
