Meet Zeyad! 💙

Zeyad lives with his family in Arlington and is working with a therapist to help him safely enjoy more experiences in the community. Zeyad has autism, and while his therapist encourages him and his family to get out and explore, staying close to his mom can be a challenge.

His mom had tried using a stroller, but at four years old, Zeyad had outgrown it and was too heavy for her to carry. As his therapist explained, "Zeyad's safety is significantly compromised when attempting to take him into the community."

To help Zeyad safely experience more of the world around him, his therapist recommended a special wagon with high sides to keep him secure. Unfortunately, the cost was beyond what the family could afford.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Gill Children's Services was able to provide the wagon Zeyad needed!

His mom shared, "Thank you so much for the wagon. My son loves it! It makes life easier for me with a special new child. Now he has his own space with his toys that he likes."

Because of our donors, Zeyad and his family can enjoy greater peace of mind, more comfortable outings, and new opportunities to experience their community together.

Meet Addysen! ❤️🤍💙 This energetic and inquisitive four-year-old recently moved to Texas from Washington. She loves to learn new things, and was excited to have a new home. Soon after moving, her single mom was in a serious car accident. Her mom said, "My car accident and loosing my only means of transportation and my employment still affects us to this day." When Addysen started experiencing a tooth ache, and her mom did not know where to turn. After visiting a mobile clinic, they heard about Gill Children's Services. "We were turned away from countless places and Gill has yet been the only place that has helped", she said. Through the support of local donors, Addysen's treatment was fully covered, and she is no longer in pain. Her mom said, "If it weren't for those who have extended grace in these times of need, I can't imagine how awful it would have been for my daughter. I am beyond thankful and appreciative to be able to have this help so my daughter does not have to suffer."

We bid a fond farewell to three amazing board members! Jessica Lewis has served since 2020 and originally shadowed the board as part of LeadingEdge . Ron Lewis has held many roles since joining the board in 2005, and he worked closely with co-founders Martine Ginsburg and Ginny Richards. Terri Sexton has served since 2021 and led the Development Committee. We are so grateful for their impact on the mission and our kids. Thank you! 💙

It's February, which means this month is all about love ❤️ and healthy smiles! 🦷We are receiving more and more requests from kids just like Dasha who need help paying for dental treatment. Gill Children's Services can help pay for treatment when insurance and other programs fall short. And in partnership with our great dentists, every $1 donated to help a child with dental treatment has a $4.19 impact. Your generosity will be quadrupled! Now that's worth smiling about.

Say hello to sweet 3-year-old Caylee from Fort Worth! 💕

When her mom learned that Caylee needed two root canals, a stainless steel crown, and several fillings, she was overwhelmed. Because Caylee is so young, the dentist also needed to use conscious sedation to safely complete the treatment — making the procedure even more costly.

Thankfully, Caylee’s mom reached out to Gill Children’s Services — and because of your support and the generosity of a caring dentist, Caylee got the treatment she needed. Today, she has a healthy, happy smile!

9-year-old Joseph needed dental treatment, but without insurance, the procedure would have cost over $2,300. Thanks to the generosity of our donors—and a kind discount from the dentist—Joseph now has a healthy smile! 💙

His mom shared:
"I explained to my children that Gill Children's Services is a support network for us. No matter our situation, we must always trust that God will place people like you who are willing to help us."

Meet Grecia! 💕 She's a bright and joyful 5-year-old from Fort Worth. When her mom received a $1,400 bill for Grecia’s much-needed dental treatment, she felt overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn. On a single income, it just wasn’t possible.

But thanks to the kindness of our amazing donors and Lake Worth Children's Dentistry, Grecia got the care she needed—and now she has a healthy, happy smile to show for it!
