Reshmi Parameswaran, PhD, at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, is one of six researchers receiving new hairy cell leukemia research grants through HCL2030, our program with the Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation.

Her research examines how hairy cell leukemia becomes resistant to treatment and develops new treatment strategies for its variant form, a rarer, faster-growing type of the disease.

Together, the grants will invest nearly $7 million over five years in hairy cell leukemia research.

Our Clinical Trial Support Center connects you with a free Clinical Trial Nurse Navigator through Carebox Connect. Fill out a short form, and a Nurse Navigator will follow up to help you understand your options, review potential eligibility, and guide you through next steps.

Our Nurse Navigators are registered nurses with expertise in adult and pediatric blood cancers, and there's no obligation.

Passionate about serving children and families, she balances her studies with running a local childcare referral business and giving back to her community. Hailey’s fundraising is helping Blood Cancer United move closer to cures, support patients and families, and raise a powerful voice for everyone impacted by blood cancer. 🩸❤️

Access to cancer care goes beyond treatment. Education, financial assistance and community partnerships also play important roles.

Blood Cancer United is expanding its support for Central Valley patients through a five-year, $562,500 grant partnership with Community Cancer Institute and the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine.

The initiative will support patient education, survivorship workshops and bilingual outreach focused on clinical trials and emerging treatments.

Formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the organization serves patients and families affected by more than 100 types of blood cancers.

Blood Cancer United is also being recognized as an honoree at The Business Journal's inaugural Philanthropy Excellence Awards on Nov. 5.

This holiday season, give a card with a little extra meaning. ❤️

Cards from Blood Cancer United's Dare to Dream Project are here in two designs: a holiday card featuring original artwork by Penelope, a 12-year-old leukemia survivor, and our "Dream. Believe. Do. Repeat." greeting card.

Each pack of 10 is a way to celebrate the people you love while supporting Blood Cancer United's mission, including Dare to Dream's work transforming treatment and care for kids with blood cancer.

📣 Angela Kutnerian, Co-founder and President of Wellpointe Inc., is signing up to save lives as part of our 2027 Fresno Visionaries of the Year! 👏

Angela’s “why” is deeply personal. Growing up with cancer woven through her family, including all four grandparents and her mom, who beat thyroid cancer twice, and then watching her close friend Adrian Tellez fight hairy cell leukemia in 2017, showed her how much a diagnosis can turn a life upside down, and how much hope research brings to every family on this journey.

Angela’s fundraising is helping Blood Cancer United move closer to cures, support patients and families, and raise a powerful voice for everyone impacted by blood cancer. 🩸❤️

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a new treatment option for select adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) who haven't been treated before. ❤️

If you or someone you love is facing CLL or SLL, that's one more option on the table, and one more reason for hope.

This didn't happen by chance. Years ago, we helped fund the research that taught scientists how these cancers grow, the science this treatment is built on.

Today, we're funding what comes next: ways to pair treatments like this one with others so people can stay in remission even longer.

This is what investment in science looks like. This is what collective action makes possible.

This one is worth saving.❤️

Words from someone who is in it right now. Alana is two treatments into her Hodgkin lymphoma care, with a two-year-old and a three-year-old at home and a partner carrying the load during treatment weeks.

Her first round, she pushed herself. Her second round, she rested a lot more, and it went better. So her first piece of advice is to let yourself rest on the days your body asks for it.

Her second piece of advice is to lean on the people who are carrying it with you.

And her third piece of advice is to find one small thing to look forward to on treatment day. For Alana, it's her outfit of the day.

In her words: "These little things help, but there's no way to do this besides just going through it and figuring out what works for you."

You don't have to figure it out alone.

If you are navigating a blood cancer experience, our mental wellness resources are here for you whenever you need them ⬇️

There is incredible power when women leaders come together with a shared purpose! ♥️🩸

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us with such openness and heart. Together, we have the opportunity to create meaningful change for people and families impacted by blood cancer.

This is community. This is leadership. And this is what’s possible when we unite around a cause that matters. ♥️🩸
