Community Consolidated School District 89

There were so many fun things happening at the end of the year, we didn't get a chance to post them all! We hope you'll enjoy as we share some highlights in the next few days. First up: In May, the Glen Crest skills class hosted the first-ever "Hungry Spartan Cafe". Students greeted guests who had made reservations, led people to their seats, took orders, made food, served the meal, and checked people out. The customers gave the service and food five out of five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The district recently celebrated our super “Sub Squad” – people who worked as substitute teachers more than 25 days during the 2025-26 school year. We appreciate these guest teachers who keep our schools running!

All CCSD 89 students are invited to check out books from the Arbor View library starting Tuesday. The library will be open: June 2 (9-11 a.m.), June 3 (5-7 p.m.), June 23 (9-11 a.m.), June 24 (5-7 p.m.), July 14 (9-11 a.m.), and July 15 (5-7 p.m.). Hope to see you there!
