After 30+ years of dedicated service, we congratulate Chief Mike Randazzo on his well-earned retirement ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chief Randazzo rose through the ranks of the Glendora Police Department, from Police Cadet to Captain, and was sworn in as Chief of Police in May 2024. Throughout his career, he led with integrity, put his people first, and never lost sight of the community we serve.

His mark on this department will be felt for years to come, in the officers he mentored, the standards he set, and the trust he built with Glendora residents.

Chief, thank you for your leadership and your service. Enjoy every moment of this next chapter and well deserved retirement!

Suspect Joseph Bryant, 43, engaged in conversation with a juvenile on a platform called Teen Chat. Bryant ultimately arranged to meet the juvenile, picked the juvenile up, and drove the juvenile to the City of Los Angeles. The incident was reported to the Glendora Police Department, and GPD officers located the juvenile and returned the child home.

License plate reader cameras were used to locate Bryant’s vehicle, and Bryant was arrested. Bryant is a registered s*x offender and was booked at the Glendora Police Department Jail for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 and arranging a meeting with a minor for the purpose of engaging in lewd or lascivious behavior. He was held without bail.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information or who may have had similar contact with Bryant is asked to contact Detective Soliz at (626) 914-8284.

PRESS RELEASE — Glendora, CA

This July and beyond, the Glendora Police Department encourages drivers to follow the speed limit and “slow the fast down.”

During the month of July, the Glendora Police Department will have additional officers on patrol looking for drivers who are speeding or driving too fast for conditions.

Speeding remains a leading factor in deadly crashes and is consistently the top safety
concern among surveyed California drivers, according to the 2025 California Traffic Safety Survey. Even small increases in speed reduce the time drivers have to react and significantly increases the force of a crash. Slowing down is a simple, effective way to prevent tragedies on our roads.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 11,288 people died from speeding-related crashes in the U.S. in 2024, accounting for 29% of all traffic fatalities that year. In California alone, 1,139 people were killed in speeding-related
crashes in 2024.

Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and this nation. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

We especially remember fallen Glendora Police Agent Louie Pompei, whose service and sacrifice continue to leave a lasting impact on our department and community.

May we never forget those who gave everything in the line of duty. We honor their memory not only today, but every day.
