Greenwich Historical Society proudly presents designer and Greenwich Historical Society board member PATRICK MELE 🍎 for a conversation with Dara Caponigro, Creative Director of Schumacher. Patrick and Dara will discuss Dara’s newest book, Glorious Gardens: Edens of the World’s Leading Interior Designers, and her work for the iconic design house, F. Schumacher & Company. We are so excited to be hosting CEO & Executive Director of Newport Mansions, Trudy Coxe, this evening for her presentation, “Power and Preservation: The History of Newport’s Gilded Age Mansions.”

This lecture will offer a captivating look at Newport’s iconic mansions, the families who built them, and The Preservation Society’s mission to protect, preserve, and present them to the world.

The evening also includes a behind-the-scenes look at HBO’s The Gilded Age, filmed in Newport, exploring how today’s master storytellers are reviving this era of power and prestige for a new generation.

It’s history, architecture, and ambition, all in one evening. We hope you’ll join us!
