TCA is excited to announce Jeffrey Abramowitz, J.D as the closing speaker for the 2026 TCA Special Populations Conference. Join us Friday, December 11, 2026, for his session, titled Rocket Fuel for Correctional and Reentry Success! This session challenges attendees to look beyond program participation, credentials, and completion to examine what happens next for the special populations they serve. Drawing on his personal experience behind and beyond prison walls and more than a decade of work at the intersection of adult education, workforce development, and justice, Jeffrey Abramowitz will explore where people are lost between education, employment, opportunity, and economic mobility. Through an interactive keynote, participants will consider how barriers such as disability, transportation, housing, childcare, behavioral health needs, broadband access, and limited social capital affect outcomes. Attendees will leave with a framework for identifying gaps, strengthening collaboration among educators, employers, justice agencies, and community organizations, and replacing fragmented handoffs with bridges. The session will challenge participants to redefine success by measuring not only what people complete, but what they are able to achieve next.

Jeffrey Abramowitz, J.D., is CEO of the Petey Greene Program and the Puttkammer Center for Educational Justice, with extensive leadership experience in reentry services, adult education, workforce development, and justice. He has held executive roles with Justice Partnerships and JEVS Human Services, founded the Looking Forward Philadelphia Reentry Program, and serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE). Abramowitz has served on numerous state and national boards and committees and as a subject matter expert for the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice. He is also the producer and host of the award-winning “The Looking Forward” radio and television show on PhillyCAM and co-host and producer of COABE’s Behind Every Employer Podcast. A nationally recognized keynote speaker and presenter, Abramowitz draws on his personal journey from attorney to justice-impacted individual to nonprofit CEO and subject matter expert to inform his work at the intersection of justice, education, reentry, and workforce development.

TCA is excited to announce Brett Hollins as the welcome speaker for the 2026 TCA Special Populations Conference. Join us Wednesday, December 9, 2026, for his session, titled How Much Potential Are We Walking Past? This session challenges us to look beyond labels, circumstances, and traditional ideas of rehabilitation to consider what becomes possible when we begin seeing people differently. Through lived experience, leadership, and lessons from both sides of the correctional system, Brett Hollins invites participants to reconsider where transformation begins, who has the capacity to lead it, and how much potential we may be walking past every day.

Brett Hollins is a speaker, nonprofit leader, professional basketball player, and United States Marine Corps veteran whose life and work center on leadership, identity, and transformation. After serving in the Marine Corps, Brett experienced incarceration firsthand, an experience that ultimately reshaped the direction of his life. While incarcerated, he developed the foundation for I3: Identify, Inspire, Integrate, a leadership model designed to help people recognize their value, take ownership of their choices, and envision a different future. Today, Brett serves as Executive Director of The Side Door, an organization bringing leadership development and community building programming into correctional institutions across the country. The Side Door has reached thousands of adults in custody across multiple states. Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. He speaks nationally to correctional leaders, professionals, and incarcerated populations, using his story to challenge how we think about leadership, potential, and second chances.
