Costumes are even more fun when they’re for a good cause.🐾 We love seeing our school community come together for a little fun and a great cause - even our staff had some fun! 🎃

Our 4th Grade Booster Fun Run was just as much fun as 5th grade.🎉 From sea lions to zombie walks, our Eagles brought the energy, laughter, and LOTS of smiles.

A HUGE thank-you to our families and community for supporting OMIS through Booster! Your generosity helps make amazing opportunities possible for our students. We are so grateful for you!

☀️ What a beautiful day to celebrate the end of Booster! 🎉 This morning, our 5th graders raced, danced, laughed, and cheered one another on during their final Booster run! The energy was contagious, and the smiles said it all!

We can’t wait to cheer on our 4th graders at 12:45!

Thank you for all your support this week we exceeded our goal!

🎉 Congratulations to Ms. McDonald! 🎉

Today, Ms. McDonald was announced as one of the 4 finalists for Shelby County Elementary Teacher of the Year, and we couldn’t be prouder! This recognition is so well deserved. Her selflessness, dedication, and willingness to lead extend far beyond the classroom. She makes a lasting impact on her students and those around her through her passion for teaching and commitment to helping others grow.

Congratulations again, Ms. McDonald!

This week in STEM Lab our 4th graders are putting their engineering skills to the test. Students were challenged to design and build a freestanding cauldron hanger that could hold marbles using just 10 straws and 2 feet of tape!

They have gotten creative, tested their designs, and used problem-solving skills to strengthen their structures. Some even managed to hold OVER 50 MARBLES! 👏

💙 A special thank-you to our amazing PTO for supporting our STEM lab and providing opportunities for our students to explore, create, and learn through hands-on experiences! Your support makes a difference!

🎩 Don’t forget—tomorrow is HAT DAY! 🧢

💙 We are SO CLOSE to reaching our $45,000 goal! Every dollar raised goes right back to OMIS, supporting our STEM lab, classroom transformations, school projects, and so much more.
