DEATH NOTICE: BENNIE LEE RUFFIN, B/M/70 passed away on May 17th at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The Marion County Coroner's Office has been unsuccessful locating his next of kin, a sister, Margaret Flemming. If anyone has any information, please call the office at 317-327-4744.

The Administrative office will be temporarily closed today Friday 5/15/26 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM to allow staff to participate alongside community members in the Final Disposition Ceremony.

We welcome community members, partners, faith leaders, and all who wish to join us in this meaningful tradition and act of remembrance.

Flanner & Buchanan has secured an indoor location for us at the Cemetery.

We will be in the Oak Room inside the funeral center to the right-

After the service, we will procession out and go to the court of roses to lay flowers.

The Marion County Coroner's Office would like to welcome our newest addition to the team! Sharon has just completed her Medico Legal Death Investigations certification and Field Training requirements. She comes with prior experience of death investigations from the Denver, CO area and is excited to start her newest adventure with us in Indianapolis. Here she is pictured as she is released from Field Training with Administrator of Investigations Michele Kratz. Welcome aboard, Sharon!

Birthday spotlight! Help us wish Amanda a Happy Birthday today! Amanda has been with MCCO for 19 years and has earned her MDI certification and cross trained as an autopsy technician before earning her current position of our Operations Manager. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with family, shopping, camping, and spontaneous road trips!
