💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month
At Girls Inc. of Jacksonville, we’re proud to “Go Green” in support of National Alliance on Mental Illness and the importance of mental wellness for every girl, every family, and every community.
Mental health matters just as much as physical health. By raising awareness, encouraging open conversations, and supporting one another, we help create a world where girls feel empowered, heard, and valued.
✨ Wear green.
✨ Check in on someone you care about.
✨ Speak kindness to yourself and others.
✨ Remember: It’s okay to ask for help.
Together, we can break the stigma and build stronger, healthier futures. 💚

Kicking Off Our 2025–2026 Programming Year!
In September, we proudly launched our 2025–2026 programming year—and what an amazing start it’s been! From our Elementary and Middle School programs to High School and Collegiate initiatives, we’re already seeing the powerful impact Girls Inc. of Jacksonville is making in our community.
This week, we’re excited to highlight our Elementary School programming—and celebrate YOU, our incredible community!
A huge thank-you to the local authors and community leaders who generously took time out of their busy schedules to conduct read-aloud sessions with our girls. These weren’t your average story times—each session was paired with engaging activities aligned with our Strong, Smart, and Bold values, helping our girls see how literacy connects to everyday life.
Dr. Roberts-Graham, thank you for exemplifying STRONG through your writing. Your focus on healthy lifestyles made literacy both impactful and fun for our girls.
Andrew Williams, we appreciate you and your book "Buzz and the Big Call"—a SMART approach to early learning that teaches counting skills through adventure and creativity.
Brianna Ellis, your BOLD storytelling inspired our girls to believe in themselves, embrace confidence, and pursue their dreams.
We are truly grateful for our community's continued support.
Know an author who would love to contribute to our programming? We'd love to connect! Please reach out to us—we’re always looking to partner with passionate voices that uplift and empower our girls. [email protected]
