Some jobs are uphill battles. Luckily, our Turf Management team has the right equipment for the climb!
This remote-controlled mower allows crews to safely maintain steep hillsides without putting operators at risk. Smart tools, safer work, and a campus that keeps looking its best.

Passenger Princess? No.
Facilities Services Field Supervisor? Absolutely.
George spent the day riding shotgun, inspecting campus, and reminding us that every job is better with a good dog along for the ride. Grateful for this service dog's role in boosting pawsitivity on campus!

Now that the confetti has settled post commencement and end-of-semester event season, we want to brag on a small but might team responsible for setting up tables, chairs, stages, and more for events across every inch of campus (in addition to their working moving/hauling furniture).
Their work is behind the scenes, often happening before many of us have had our first cup of coffee. Their attention to detail and adaptability make them an incredible asset to campus 24/7 - not just during busiest seasons.
Let's hear it for our Moving & Event Services team!

When the spring semester winds down and campus gets a little quieter, our teams get to work on the details that keep the University of Tennessee looking its best.
Currently, the Facilities Services Paint team has been giving the beloved Smokey statues around campus a fresh touch-up, just one of the thousands of detail projects happening behind the scenes this summer. From paint and repairs to maintenance and improvements, every project helps prepare campus for the next semester of Big Orange energy. π

Preparedness takes teamwork. Last week, campus partners from UT Public Safety, Facilities Services, OIT, and other strategic areas came together for an IMT exercise focused on strengthening coordination, communication, and response procedures. Exercises like these help ensure our campus teams are ready to put plans into action when it matters most.
