Foster youth in California are facing a growing crisis. Last summer, 90% of Foster Family Agencies (FFAs) lost their insurance provider, forcing some to close and leaving thousands of foster youth at risk of displacement.

FFAs are the backbone of the foster care system, recruiting, training, and supporting families who care for kids with the greatest needs. Without urgent action, the system could collapse, and vulnerable kids could be left without the homes they desperately need.

The Lights Are Blinking Red for California Foster Families The insurance crisis for California's foster family agencies is already starting to impact the system's capacity, Chris Stoner-Mertz writes

Eggleston is seeking the support of our community to help fulfill the wish lists of foster children and youth within our agency. Many of these children will not be able to celebrate the holidays with their birth families, so we strive to make the season as joyful as possible. 🎉
