Our 2nd grade Cheetahs delivered a spectacular performance last week in their Garden Show production.
Students wowed the audience with vivid, creative costumes and a stunning set, and treated everyone to beautiful singing. Along the way, they taught us all a thing or two about gardening!
A big congratulations to the students, teachers, and everyone who helped bring this wonderful show to life.

Mountain View Community,
Over the past several months, we’ve heard from community members about safety concerns involving e-bike, motorized scooter, and bicycle riders in Mountain View. Our top priority is keeping everyone safe — whether you’re on two wheels, four, or on foot.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing important information about e-bike safety, speed limits, equipment requirements, and road rules. Our goal is to help riders and their families understand how to stay safe and comply with the law.
Our department, which includes Patrol Officers and the School Resource Officer, will continue to discuss safe riding habits and the requirements for commuting around town with students, staff, and parents.
Education and awareness come first, because safety starts with understanding. Working together, we can ensure our roads are safe for everyone.

When Ms. Lopes' Art History class at Crittenden was handed a well-worn (but still functional) cart and asked to give it some fresh paint, one Panther had a vision—and recruited two classmates to help bring it to life.
Working together after their regular classwork, this talented trio produced a beautiful work of art, inspired by Monet's iconic Water Lilies.
The cart is now in perfect shape to welcome back the ELA novels returning from classrooms across Crittenden!

The Board of Trustees was happy to recognize teacher Shaye Dillon and the students of Crittenden Middle School’s Mock Trial Team at the meeting this evening. 💙 💛 🐈⬛
In its very first season, this remarkable team exceeded all expectations, advancing to the California Mock Trial Junior Division Finals at UCLA—a testament to the students’ hard work, dedication, and teamwork. At UCLA, they won a verdict in round one and three individual awards—two Outstanding Witnesses, and one for Outstanding Defense Attorney.
We are delighted to welcome them this evening and celebrate their success.

Pardon our Dust!
This summer, there will be construction from June 6 to August 11 on many of our campuses. These upgrades will increase school safety and efficiency by replacing aging roofs. Additionally, nature-based outdoor learning areas will be constructed at many sites for student learning and play. For details about what is happening at each campus: https://www.mvwsd.org/construction
Please be aware that portions of the campuses will be off-limits where work is occurring and materials are staged.
Thanks to our community, these improvements are the result of 2020’s Measure T bond dollars at work. We appreciate your patience with construction as we work to upgrade our schools.
