🎶 Graham students chosen for CMEA Honors Orchestra 🎻 🎼
Three of our students from the Advanced Orchestra Class were selected to participate in the CMEA Honor Orchestra to represent Graham at the CMEA (California Music Educators Conference) on October 30-31 at San Jose State University. This selective ensemble brings together talented young musicians from schools across the Bay Area to rehearse and perform challenging orchestral music. Congratulations to them and their teacher, Ms. Stephanie Chiao.

🪔🌼 Celebrating culture, community and connection at Graham Middle School!

Our Graham Bears came together to celebrate Diwali and Día de los Mu***os, two beautiful cultural traditions that honor light, love, family and the power of community.

Through these celebrations, students had the opportunity to learn about different cultures, appreciate the traditions of their classmates and celebrate the diversity that makes our school community so special. Thank you to the parents, staff and students who worked to make it happen

The Harvest Festival brought students, families and staff together for a wonderful celebration of fall, friendship and community! 🍁🧡

Events like these create opportunities for families to connect, students to make memories and our school community to grow stronger.

Congratulations to Graham Middle School Chorus teacher Ms. Jenni Gaderlund, who has earned two prestigious honors from the California Music Educators Association (CMEA).

Ms. Gaderlund was selected by her peers and the CMEA Bay Section Board of Directors for the Outstanding Choral Educator Award. She also received the statewide Pearson / Scott Foresman / Silver Burdett Choral Educator Award, which will be presented at the California State Music Educators Conference in Sacramento on January 14, 2027.

In announcing the statewide honor, CMEA praised Ms. Gaderlund's "ongoing excellence as a music educator and [her] service to our profession in our state."

Join Cyndee Nguyen, our Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment as she discusses how to (i) access and interpret score reports and (ii) use the information to engage in a productive partnership with your child’s teacher(s). Specifically, we will focus on the Amplify DIBELS early literacy report (grades K-2) and the CAASPP report (grades 3-8)

Today, the Castro and Mistral school communities honored and remembered loved ones through music, a beautiful ofrenda, art projects, hot chocolate and pan dulce, and cultural celebrations. Thank you to volunteers, parents and staff members for making this a meaningful family event!
