Congrats to newly-appointed Napa County Superior Court Judge Veronica Juarez!

Since 2021, Juarez served as a Deputy District Attorney at the Napa County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to that, she served as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice from 2019 to 2021, Deputy District Attorney at the Solano County District Attorney’s Office from 2007 to 2019, and Deputy Public Defender at the Yuba County Public Defender’s Office from 2004 to 2007. Juarez received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Mark Boessenecker.

¡Felicidades a la recién nombrada jueza del Tribunal Superior del Condado de Napa, Verónica Juárez!

Desde 2021, Juárez ha desempeñado el cargo de fiscal adjunta en la fiscalía del Condado de Napa. Anteriormente, fue fiscal general adjunta en el Departamento de Justicia de California de 2019 a 2021, fiscal adjunta de la oficina del fiscal del distrito del Condado de Solano de 2007 a 2019 y defensora pública adjunta en la oficina de la defensoría pública del Condado de Yuba de 2004 a 2007. Today the Napa County, California - Government Board of Supervisors proclaimed June as Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Awareness Month in Napa County.

Many of our partners for our upcoming Seniors Against Financial Exploitation (S.A.F.E.) were in attendance to support the cause including Monarch Justice Center Molly's Angels Health and Human Services Agency, Napa County Comprehensive Services for Older Adults, and Napa County Commission on Aging.

On behalf of our S.A.F.E. Planning Committee we'd like to thank the Board of Supervisors for this proclamation and we hope to see everyone attend S.A.F.E. on June 23!

Hoy, la Junta de Supervisores del Condado de Napa proclamó junio como el Mes de Concientización sobre el Abuso de Personas Adultas Mayores y Adultos Dependientes en el Condado de Napa.

The Napa County District Attorney’s Office is proud to present the June edition of Newsline. This month, we are hosting our 3rd Annual Seniors Against Financial Exploitation (S.A.F.E.) event at Napa Valley College’s Performing Arts Center on June 23. We highly encourage you to read about the event and find out how to become involved in the effort to empower local seniors to protect themselves against scams.
