5th grade fun day … these Eagles are almost to middle school! What a fun day to celebrate.

On May 26th, Mia Wilske was selected and recognized as one of a handful of recipients for their Art Student of the Year Award from The Arts Council Napa Valley. Along with this honor, she received a scholarship and presented a medal and certificate. Her kindergarten teacher, Ms. Reeves, nomination included these words: "Mia's art reflects her so well. She uses color to show vibrancy. She uses details to show uniqueness. She uses space to create impact. As a kindergarten student, she is remarkable at making her drawings reflect her feelings and show great precision and detail. It is always fun to see what flair she adds to her art that makes it stand out. Her pictures of animals and people could be translated into characters in a book or animation. This budding artist has a bright future with the art she creates that brightens any room!

“Walk of Fame:” Two of our beloved teachers, Lori Paisley (4th/5th Special Education) and Sandra Renfro (Third Grade), will be retiring at the end of this school year. While we are so happy about their next adventures, we will miss both of them immensely! Students and staff will be celebrating their years of dedication with a “Walk of Fame” on Monday, June 1, at 11:00, and we would like to invite parents to celebrate with us! We will all line up on both sides of Joe’s Path, and Ms. Paisley and Mrs. Renfro will have the opportunity to walk from one end to the other, receiving smiles and congratulations along the way.

Meet Team C of 5th Grade Leadership. This group helped with flag duty, created "Sports Day" for an all-school dress up day, and raised funds for No Kid Hungry through their after-school Smencil sales. Great job, Team C!
