Deputy Consul General, Vishal J. Harsh met with the members of United States Yogasana team and wished them good luck as they head to the 1st World Yogasana Championship 2026 to be held in Ahmedabad from 4-8 June 2026.

Consulate General of India, New York hosted a virtual interactive session with National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) scholars from universities across its jurisdiction.

Consul General Binaya S. Pradhan interacted with the students and discussed their academic journey, experiences in the United States, and ways to further strengthen support and engagement with Indian students.

He encouraged the scholars to serve as bridges between India and the United States by contributing to academic, research, innovation and people-to-people linkages.

along with organised a Webinar on “Discover Pathways for Export to USA for Indian Exporters and MSMEs.”

The session opened with welcome remarks by Consul General , followed by educational presentations by Walmart regarding cross-border growth for Indian sellers in the US market. The session was attended by around 340 exporters from India.

Pradhan was delighted to receive a copy of ‘The Orissan’ from its authors Mr Sandip Das & his daughter Pallavi Das; CG complimented them for the novelty in bringing together the rich history, culture and culinary heritage of Odisha while beautifully narrating their linkages to day to day traditions and customs still being practiced by Odia people in Odisha and around the world. CG also appreciated that Pallavi, a young professional living in New York, has brought in an international perspective while talking about Odia cuisine
