Halloween at the courthouse! Thank you to all the kiddos who came out to Adventure Bay to pat my head, scratch my chin, and pose for a picture. Happy Halloween!

Project Safer Trunk or Treat 2026. Marshal agreed to make an appearance so we had to make it Paw Patrol! Sky as Skye and Marshal as Marshall. 🤣 Our coworkers at The Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office did an amazing job decorating. Even with the rain, so many kiddos and adults came out for a night of fun.

🏈THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL! 🏈

Reporting for duty… but tonight, my most important assignment is cheering on the Seattle Seahawks!

I put on my jersey, gave the camera my best game-day looks, and then decided the photo shoot was OVER. This dog can only do so much before she needs a little break!

I tried my best to put on my game face… and then my “I’m done” face.

Let’s go, Hawks! Bring home the W!

Big news, friends: I went international! 🇨🇦
I just got back from Vancouver, BC, for the 2026 International Courthouse Dogs® Conference, and it was amazing! My handlers and I spent the last few days learning, sharing, and connecting with so many other facility dog teams from around the world.
There is truly nothing quite like a room full of pups and handlers who all do the same important work that I do. We made so many new friends!
A huge thank-you to our wonderful Canadian neighbors for being the best hosts ever and making us feel so welcome. My tail is still wagging!

Happy National Black Dog Day!

Marshal has recently retired and is getting some well-deserved rest! Meanwhile, Sky is here at the courthouse working 9 to 5 to keep everyone comforted and calm. Sky started the morning with a “cup of ambition” (and by ambition, we mean treats!). What a way to make a livin’! Keep up the good work Sky!

Officially retired and letting the wind take me wherever it blows. Life is a breeze now! 🐾

I’m Officially Retired!

Well, friends… I’ve officially hung up my vest and I’m now a retired Courthouse Facility Dog!

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to my retirement party, sent me sweet messages, and gave me all these amazing treats, toys, and gifts!

Thank you all for celebrating this special day with me and for making me feel so loved and appreciated. I’m one very lucky dog!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some treats to eat and toys to play with… then take a nap! Retirement is hard work!

Love,
Marshal 🐾❤️

Marshal here! After 10 and a half wonderful years of comfort, cuddles, and dedicated service at the Thurston County Courthouse, I am officially hanging up my working vest and retiring. I have loved every single belly rub, every quiet moment shared with someone who needed a friend, and being a part of this amazing community. My tail will keep wagging, but from the comfort of a very cozy couch!

Sky here! I’ve been learning from the absolute best for the past two years, watching Marshal bring smiles to so many faces. I am so proud to step up, take over this incredible program, and keep the torch—and the treats—moving forward! I promise to take excellent care of everyone here, just like Marshal did.

Watching the Lakefair Parade with friends and neighbors was the perfect way to spend a relaxing Saturday. It was incredible seeing so many smiling faces. We love being a part of this community!
