Thank you to all residents, businesses, and volunteers who took part in our free e-waste recycling collections in Burt, Dakota, Thurston, and Washington counties. 👏

Proper disposal of computers, monitors, TVs, etc., protects our environment from toxic materials and conserves landfill space. 📺

Impact: 592,000+ lbs. of e-waste collected through our annual drives, with over 98% of those materials recycled. ♻️

Trails input needed!

The Papio NRD is partnering with Bike Walk Nebraska on a statewide study exploring how trails impact Nebraska’s economy, health, and quality of life. 🚶🏽🚴🏼‍♀️

If you use or advocate for local trails, have a business alongside a trail, or oversee a trail system, please take a few minutes to provide input in support of the study. ✍️

Today we shine the spotlight on Lindy Rogers, our construction engineer.

Lindy oversees levee and dam maintenance throughout our District to ensure continuous flood risk reduction for our communities. A big job!

Sometimes the job puts her in some very 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 situations. Read about the one that threw an emergency dispatcher for a loop!
