The agenda gets you in the room. The conversations outside it are what move the work forward.
That’s what stood out most at this year’s eBuilders Forum in Detroit. The sessions were packed with insight, from creative capital and catalytic investment to AI, storytelling, and measuring what a thriving ecosystem looks like. But some of the most important moments happened in between:
☕ The breakfast table where an ESO leader and a funder realized they’d been working on the same problem from different sides
🚶🏻♂️➡️ The hallway chats between sessions that turned into “let’s set up a call next week”
🛍️ Lunch at TechTown’s The SHOP, meeting the Detroit entrepreneurs this work is all for
🍝 The Detroit Dine-Around, where the day’s conversations kept going over dinner
Partnering with the Entrepreneurship Funders Network this year put ESO practitioners and philanthropic leaders in the same space, and that’s where the real progress happens. When the people building ecosystems and the people funding them actually know each other, partnerships move faster, referrals get warmer, and entrepreneurs feel the difference.
We closed by asking everyone one question: what will you implement? We can’t wait to see what this community brings home.
Thank you to TechTown Detroit for hosting us, to EFN for partnering, and to every speaker, entrepreneur, and ecosystem builder who made the trip. And to the inBIA team 👋, thank you for making it all happen.
See you at the next one.
