Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday’s program possible. Continuing to honor and reflect on our history is important as we educate future generations. Our community’s story is part of a much larger American story, one that began long before the Town of Penfield was officially established in 1810.
Yesterday, Supervisor Berry joined the Mary Fellows Penfield Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, our Local History Room - Penfield NY, and community members at Oakwood Cemetery to recognize the placement of eight grave markers honoring Revolutionary War soldiers buried there.
Through this work, we help ensure that the stories of these patriots, including the namesake of our Town, Daniel Penfield, remain part of our community’s history for generations to come.
