The Southwood Interventions team is out in the community making connections and sharing resources across Chicago's South Side!
In June, our staff participated in The Southside He**in Opioid Task Force Community Prevention Outreach Resource Event, The City Motivators Last Day of School Celebration, and The 3rd Annual Black Men's Wellness Day & Father's Day Cookout, just to name a few.
Our team is on the move—meeting individuals and families where they are, building relationships, and connecting communities to support and recovery resources. Look for Southwood in Englewood and beyond!

At Abraxas, we are rooted in our 7 Key Principles of Care.
The foundation of who we are, how we serve, and the lasting impact we strive to make. These principles guide our decisions, shape our culture, and define the standard of care delivered across all Abraxas programs. This is the Abraxas Difference.

Today at Abraxas Ohio, young men participating in our Unarmed Gun Violence Education Program took part in a powerful act of remembrance and awareness. Together, they placed 89 pinwheels in the front lawn, each pinwheel representing 50 children and teens impacted by gun violence in 2025.
Through education, reflection, and action, our youth are learning that they have the power to be voices for change and advocates for safer communities.
As we recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Month, we remain committed to educating for safety, empowering for change, and honoring those affected by gun violence.
