The Town of Plattsburgh Home to approximately 12,000 residents, the Town of Plattsburgh is just south of the Canadian border in the northeast part of New York State.

The Town of Plattsburgh is located in the northeastern part of New York State, approximately 65 miles south of Montreal. Situated along the main transportation route between New York City and Montreal, it is the closest large American municipality to the second largest Canadian City. The history runs deep, serving as theaters for battles in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. We also boast many opportunities for recreation in all seasons. You will find located within our boundaries apple orchards, part of the Adirondack Coast W**e Trail, connection to the Northern Forest Canoe trail, disc golf at the Cadyville Park, and much more. The greater Plattsburgh region continues to see growth and development, with many manufacturing and transportation companies located within the town.

🚧 The Town of Plattsburgh Highway Department and the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) have teamed up to complete major repairs on Gougeville Springs Road in Cadyville this week!

As many of you may know, a section of the road has been closed for several weeks following the formation of a sinkhole. Thanks to the collaboration between the Town and NYSDOT, repairs are now underway to restore the roadway and the underlying infrastructure.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while this important work is completed. Our goal is to get Gougeville Springs Road reopened as soon as possible!

We’re grateful to NYSDOT for their partnership and collaboration in getting Gougeville Springs Road reopened! 👷‍♂️
