ICYMI: At the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub, we are so honored to be part of the inaugural Sacramento Countywide Nonprofit Partnership Initiative cohort alongside nine other incredible organizations doing life-changing work across our region. πŸ™Œ

This capacity-building opportunity comes at the perfect moment as we grow into our new home and expand our mission to serve families with dignity and choice. Thank you to Sacramento County - Government and the Sacramento Region Community Foundation for investing in the nonprofits behind the work.

This space is going to change things. 🌱

Starting this fall, the community room inside the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub will host nutrition classes led by dietetic interns from Sacramento State β€” teaching families how to turn the food available at the Hub into delicious, nourishing meals.

It's where our mission gets deeper than a grocery cart. It's where food becomes fuel, and knowledge becomes power.

Stay tuned β€” and if you or your organization is interested in using this space for community programming, let's talk.

A Community Came Together for This 06/02/2026

We are blown away. πŸŽ‰
Tankersley Build Co just dropped this incredible video recap of our ribbon cutting, and we can't stop watching it.

This wasn't just a ceremony. It was the moment an idea became reality. What was once an abandoned building is now the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub, a place that will strengthen food access, support local producers, and serve this community for years to come.
But the most memorable part of the day wasn't the building. It was seeing so many people come together to celebrate what's possible when public agencies, nonprofits, donors, designers, contractors, and neighbors all rally around a shared vision.

Thank you, Tankersley Build Co., for capturing this moment so beautifully, and for being such an incredible partner in bringing it to life. We're so proud of what we built together. πŸ—οΈβ€οΈ

Last Wednesday, we cut the ribbon on a dream that was years in the making. ✨

We are still overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who showed up to celebrate with us. To our board members, city and state officials, donors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, family, friends, and every neighbor who believed in this vision from the very beginning: thank you. This building belongs to all of you. 🧑

Now, we need your help to stock the shelves! We're calling on our community to help us check off the final items on our Community Food Hub Grocery List. Every gift helps us serve our neighbors with the dignity and choice they deserve.

Here's what's still on our list:
πŸ›’ Shopping Carts (50) – $250 each
πŸ“Ί Educational TV Monitors (4) – $5,000 each
πŸ₯¬ Open Air Produce Refrigeration (2) – $15,000 each
πŸ”§ Pallet Stacker – $10,000
πŸͺ§ Indoor Signage – $5,000
πŸ’» Laptops (4) – $1,000 each
πŸ“± iPads (4) – $800 each

You can also support our programs directly: $150 supports 5 seniors or 5 veterans with meal and grocery deliveries for one month.

This Memorial Day, we're honoring those who served by showing up for them. 🧑

Every other week, we deliver ready-to-eat foods and pantry staples directly to formerly unhoused and disabled service members at Mather Veterans Village, a supportive housing community right here in Rancho Cordova.

Because service doesn't end when the uniform comes off, and neither does our commitment to neighbors in need.

To every veteran in our community: thank you. We see you, and we're here for you.

🌳 The roots of something beautiful are taking hold at the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub!

Today, we welcomed orchard trees donated by the Sacramento Tree Foundation, made possible through a Rancho Cordova Leadership Class XIX community project. These trees are the beginning of something we can't wait for our neighbors to enjoy.

Before they go in the ground, our team is making sure everything is done right β€” tilling the soil, adding compost, and getting irrigation in place. Good things take time, and this orchard is worth the wait! 🌱

Stay connected as we grow:

This made our whole team smile! πŸ’› Thank you to Blue Shield of California and the Generations Alliance ERG, Mentor California, and the Roberts Family Development Center for spending the day with us – and for bringing your mentees along for the experience.

Watching volunteers of all ages work side by side, sort produce, and welcome our neighbors is exactly the kind of community we’re trying to build at the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub. You showed up with your whole hearts, and our families felt it.

We’d love to have you back when we open the doors to our new home. 🏠 Learn more at ranchocordovafoodlocker.org.

We are so grateful to KCRA for sharing our story! πŸ™

This move is years in the making, and it represents so much more than a new address. The Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub was designed from the ground up to reflect what our neighbors deserve: a welcoming space where families can shop with dignity, make choices that fit their needs, and feel like valued members of our community, not recipients of charity.

We can’t wait to open our doors and show you what’s inside. Stay tuned for more updates, and if you’d like to be part of this next chapter, visit ranchocordovafoodlocker.org. πŸ’›

Families facing food insecurity in Rancho Cordova will soon have a new way to access food β€” one designed to restore dignity and choice. The organization, formerly known as the Rancho Cordova Food Locker, is moving into a new building and unveiling its new identity as the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub. FULL STORY ⬇️

What an incredible day at the Community Food Hub!

A huge thank you to the 20+ volunteers who joined us for Rancho Cordova’s 3rd Annual Spring Service Day. Together, they worked tirelessly planting beautiful shrubs, trees, and flowers that are helping transform our new Community Food Hub into a welcoming space for neighbors and families.

Your hard work, energy, and heart are literally helping our vision grow from the ground up.

We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up, dig in, and make a difference together!

Play ball, Rancho Cordova! ⚾🧑
The Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub is proud to support Rancho Cordova Little League this spring!

Kids who are well-fed show up differently β€” on the field, in the classroom, and in life. Good nutrition fuels growing bodies, sharpens focus, builds resilience, and gives every child the foundation they need to thrive. That's not just good for them. It's good for all of us.

Because a community that feeds its neighbors is a community that shows up for its kids, too.
