Support that starts with knowing the person. Our Community Care program supports adults 18+ living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia, related conditions AND the families who support them.
From personal care and transportation to recreation, healthcare support, respite, home management, and accessing community resources, our goal is simple: help people live connected, supported, and engaged lives on their terms.

Because of N4 Connect, members of our community can stay connected to their community and keep their independence. With the help of Lyft, we are able to provide a way for people with disabilities and people aged 60+ to receive up to $160 in discounted Lyft rides each month.

In early 2015, our founder, Amy Dewitt-Smith, was completing a grant-writing certificate course. She didn’t know it yet, but she was laying the groundwork for something that would become a whole new nonprofit organization. After years of working within the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division, Amy saw the unmet needs in our community with transportation and community support. Just a few months later, Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada (N4) began.
“In the beginning, I was certain I was going to fail, that it was not going to work. But I knew I had to try. And here we are, 11 years later!” What started with an idea for a “village” built around connection and mutual support has grown into a community where people can give, receive, connect, and belong.
