For the second year in a row, our Broad Rock Branch has created a community ofrenda in honor of Día de Mu***os (Day of the Dead). Located in Richmond's Southside, Broad Rock proudly serves many Spanish-speaking and immigrant communities, including those with roots in Mexico, where this beautiful tradition originated. The ofrenda celebrates loved ones who have passed, featuring photos and mementos honoring family members, friends, pets, patrons, and staff. And, of course, no community altar would be complete without our literacy queen, Dolly Parton. 💜

Explore our catalog for books and resources about Día de Mu***os and its rich traditions.
