Dr. Ernie Bond Curriculum Resource Center When you walk in the first thing you pass is the Powell Reading Room. This is our quiet study area, also known as the lamp room.

The Dr. Ernie Bond CRC in Conway Hall 226 has a wide variety of resources such as children’s to young adult literature, puppets, Social Work materials and plenty of study spaces. It’s a great place to curl up and get some studying done, or to have a quiet moment to yourself. There are also two rooms which have special collections in them. The Maryland Collection Room has books by Maryland authors or illustrators. Some of the books are about Maryland and the eastern shore. The other room houses the environmental collection which includes the Green Earth Book Award winners as well as other books that deal with the environment and environmental issues.

Thank you Creston!

Yesterday we bid a fond "See you around" to our director, Dr. Creston Long. After 10 years of stewardship over the Nabb Center, Dr. Long is returning full time to the SU History department. We wish him the best of luck on this exciting change and can't wait to see him come in with his classes in the fall! Thank you, Creston!

We also welcome Ian Post, our Local History Archivist, as our interim director. We're excited to see where he leads us during this time of transition!

Yay, way to go, my home state!

Illinois made history as the first state to outlaw book bans once and for all.

Marginalizing people, ideas, or facts has no place in our state — and they have no place in a democracy.

This National Library Week, we continue our commitment to free thought and free speech.

Come by the CRC after April 22 to see our entryway display of the winner and honor titles in all categories!

Every generation inherits the Earth. Will you help shape its next chapter?

At NatGen, we elevate environmental stories that inspire curiosity in children and young adults. We allow them to discover, use their imagination, and learn about stewardship. Through books, young readers begin to understand their role in caring for the planet. This Earth Day, will you help support the next generation of environmental storytellers.

Give $5, $20, $50, or $250 to help place inspiring books into the hands of young readers.
