Nearly $1.9 million is coming back to Utah consumers. 🚗💰

The Utah Division of Consumer Protection, alongside the Utah Attorney General's Office, and 40 other states, secured a $694 million settlement with auto lender Credit Acceptance Corporation over predatory car-loan practices. No company should profit by setting its customers up to fail.

What this means for 124 Utahns receiving relief:
•$177,935 in direct cash restitution
•$1,083,782 in debt relief for those whose vehicles were repossessed
•$526,810 in debt relief for those who kept their cars
•New protections prohibiting predatory lending and hidden dealer add-ons

The Utah Division of Consumer Protection is committed to holding bad actors accountable and delivering justice to Utahns.
