This FBI established the FIRST EVER National Counter‑UAS Training Center to prepare state, local, Tribal, and territorial partners to combat unlawful drones.

During the 2026 World Cup, this capability proved essential. We seized more than 700 unlawful drones, protecting fans, venues, and communities nationwide.

Modernizing the Bureau leads to REAL results with REAL impact on our mission to protecting the American people.

🚨CASE UPDATE🚨
North County Regional Gang Task Force, along with numerous law enforcement partners, arrested 35 individuals, including an increasingly violent and Mexican Mafia-connected Varrio Hidden Hills street gang leader. The two-day operation resulted in successfully removing violent individuals allegedly distributing dangerous drugs throughout the community.

The last of 25 defendants in a $65 million fraud scheme that preyed on thousands of elderly victims in San Diego and beyond admitted their crimes last week, marking a significant step toward accountability in the sprawling international case that was bolstered by YouTube scambaiters.

The 25 defendants – mostly Chinese nationals – were arrested in August 2025 after a nationwide, weeklong takedown in California, New York, Texas and Michigan. Three charged defendants remain fugitives.

The is actively processing the scene of the agent-involved shooting that occurred this morning during court-authorized law enforcement activity in Lemon Grove, California. FBI personnel will be working at the location for the foreseeable future.

All agent-involved shooting reviews follow a well-established, thorough, and objective process. The review will carefully examine the circumstances of the shooting and collect all relevant evidence from the scene. While we understand the public's interest in learning more, we ask for your patience as we work through this process. As the review remains ongoing, we cannot comment further.

This may not look like the typical Critical Incident Response Group that first comes to mind, but protecting the homeland involves more than tactical responses, it also means sharing vital training, best practices, and operational insights that help our partners and allies improve detection, mitigation, and crisis response.

“The FBI is reviewing an agent-involved shooting which occurred on October 28, 2026, approximately 6:20am PT in Lemon Grove, California, during court authorized law enforcement activity. FBI agents were fired upon from a subject inside the residence through the front door. No agents or law enforcement partner personnel were injured. The subject was subsequently taken into custody and there is no immediate danger to the community. The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”
