Happy San Diego! ☀️
Protecting our planet is important and we are proud to be shaping a sustainable water future in San Diego. The Pure Water program reuses and recycles one of Earth’s most precious resources: water! 🌎💧

April is Earthquake Preparedness Month! Did you know the Pure Water Program will better prepare San Diego in case of an earthquake by creating a local water supply? 💧
Most of our water supply is imported from Northern California and the Colorado River, delivered over hundreds of miles through aqueducts. Some of these aqueducts cross major fault lines, making them vulnerable to disruption in the event of a severe earthquake.

Pure Water San Diego puts every drop through a rigorous, multi-barrier purification process:
🔵Ozonation breaks down organic matter and contaminants.
🌿Biological Activated Carbon filters let nature finish the job naturally
🔬Membrane filtration blocks bacteria, viruses, and microscopic particles invisible to the human eye.
⚗️Reverse Osmosis strips away dissolved chemicals, salts & pharmaceuticals with high pressures
☀️UV & Advanced Oxidation delivers the final blow—destroying any remaining trace compounds
✅The result? Water that exceeds state & federal drinking water standards.
This —trust the process. Share the facts. 🔁💧
