SEPTEMBER 2026 MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

The Navajo Community Planning Group met on September 10. Highlights from the draft minutes:

- Traffic safety: Members proposed a community traffic committee. The City's speed management plan is scheduled to reach our area in January.
- Benjamin Library: Concerns were raised about the library site's inclusion in City housing site reviews. Expected on October's agenda.
- Quarry safety: The Quarry Subcommittee presented "What Is Safe?" on blasting. Board vote on its report is planned for November.
- Operating Procedures: Amended procedures ratified by unanimous vote.
- New development: Setback and access concerns on Navajo and in Grantville.
- Get It Done: Tips for getting faster results.

These are draft minutes, pending board approval. Our meetings are open to the public. Our next meeting is October 8th 2026 at 6:30 p.m., Flood Church Community Room, 4772 Alvarado Canyon Road.

Tree San Diego and PlanIT Geo™ will share preliminary findings and themes emerging from the regional planning process and invite participants to share what resonates, what may be missing, and what should be considered as the plan is refined.

Please be noticed that the NCPG August Board Meeting is cancelled.

Our board has historically not met in August, and that is again the case in 2026.

Meetings are expected to resume in September.
