Although the item is currently listed as the final item on Tuesday’s Board agenda, County staff have informed us that Agenda Item #35 will instead be heard as a time certain item on Wednesday morning during the Board of Supervisors’ Land Use hearing session.

North San Diego Soroptimists award over $23K in scholarships, grants The North San Diego Soroptimist International chapter awarded $23,500 in scholarships and grants on March 18 to help women and girls.

Our club had another inspirational luncheon to recognize and honor this year’s recipients of our LIVE YOUR DREAM AWARDS at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo. Several awardees and supporting organizations received our funding and support to empower women surviving domestic violence, human trafficking, and critical barriers to leading successful lives. We had an amazing 43 attendees witness our 13 dream awardees receive their educational grants totalling $23,500. Our organizational awards provide more opportunity to our community partners who align with our mission. Thank you to Crisis House, Alabaster Jar Project, STAT!, San Pasqual Academy for foster teens, and Generate Hope. All organizations serving women facing life's hardest challenges. Congratulations to all! We are proud to be among you.

Soroptimist Poway is joining forces with Soroptimist North San Diego this month for a joint social at the Bernardo Winery. Join friends old and new for a fun evening of socializing.
