Inspirica, Inc. By operating shelters, transitional housing and permanent housing we can end homelessness and housing instability rather than provide only a temporary fix.

Founded in 1879, Inspirica is one of the largest providers of housing and support services in Connecticut, striving to end homelessness and housing insecurity by helping individuals and families achieve independence. We serve single women, families, people with mental illness, and persons living with HIV/AIDS, working across the spectrum of people who are homeless rather than just one segment. We address not just the physical part of homelessness, but all the reasons a person becomes homeless.

Recently, the folks at community partner Spencer Stuart joined us at our Woodland campus, home to our Women's Shelter and multiple housing sites. Their efforts included adding a fresh coat of paint to parts of our exterior building, landscaping cleanup, and building a new pergola for our residents to enjoy—all demonstrating the care and kindness the Inspirica community is known for. Thank you, Spencer Stuart, for the improvements you made to the campus, and the example you continue to set (with a special shoutout to our tireless maintenance team, always on hand for events like these)!

Serving others comes in so many forms at Inspirica, spanning a range of opportunities for both individuals and corporations. Learn more about volunteering here: https://bit.ly/3YDeQAT

"Best day ever!" - Sandra, one of our Youth Center participants

Recently, Inspirica's Youth Center program took a field trip to Madame Tussauds in New York City, made possible through the generosity of First Presbyterian Church of Stamford. While touring the museum, they had an opportunity to add their own messages to a 'kindness all the time' wall.

Inspirica's own walls of kindness stretch miles high and miles wide, thanks to our community of supporters throughout Fairfield County and beyond. Brick by brick, they've made Inspirica what it is today.

Inspirica's annual Harvest for Hope food drive is nearly underway, powered by our community of supporters including sponsors throughout the Fairfield County region. Every year, our sponsors step up to make sure families in need will have food on their tables on Thanksgiving, through providing funding, volunteer groups, and visibility to our mission. And every year, we're so moved by all they do and the impact they have.

Our programs and services span emergency shelters, deeply affordable and permanent supportive housing, after school care and youth mentoring (to name a few) across 12 locations in Fairfield County, all pathways to breaking the cycle of homelessness for current and future generations. We're so fortunate to have been part of over 250 children's lives in the last year!

Our community partners at Crane NXT respond to homelessness in Stamford and beyond by committing dollars and volunteer hours to Inspirica year after year. We're so honored to count them among our supporters!
