Our Class of 2026 has completed high school! Last night, 707 seniors gathered at the Lincoln High School football stadium for a ceremony celebrating all the memories they have made and the communities they have built at Lincoln Unified schools. Graduates from Lincoln High School and Village Oaks High School were recognized for all the hard work they've put into completing classes, sharing their passion and creativity with others, and forming lifelong friendships.

For the first time in Lincoln Unified history, two Student Trustees worked with our Board of Trustees this year. Hollis Langham of Lincoln High and Lyeon Chhat of Village Oaks proudly served this community while learning about school policies and keeping their peers connected to their education.
Hollis has been a member of the Lincoln family since Kindergarten, while Lyeonn first joined our district during his freshman year. Hollis has taken part in Lincoln High student leadership and the California Association of Student Councils throughout her high school years, which taught her the significance of policy and civic engagement for all students and their families. Lyeon learned the value of hearing different perspectives and working with his community while spending time with Tully C. Knoles students for extra credit at Village Oaks.
Hollis says she has found it rewarding to learn the ways our Board members and administrators help students behind the scenes while providing resources to meet their needs. Lyeon admits that he had to work hard to understand all the details of Board policies, but grew to enjoy seeing plans set in motion and always enjoyed seeing students and staff receive awards from the Board.
Next year, Hollis will go to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she will study biochemistry as a pre-med student. Lyeon plans to study business administration at San Joaquin County Delta College’s North County location, with the ultimate goal of becoming CEO of his own business. Both of these dedicated, ambitious and empathetic seniors believe their experience as Student Trustees will benefit them long after graduation.
Hollis recommends that next year’s Lincoln High School students be involved in their campus community by attending events and gaining experiences they might not otherwise. Lyeon encourages the Village Oaks Class of 2027 to always try improving, and not to let anything hold them back.
We thank Hollis and Lyeon for their leadership and the positive examples they have set for all students this year!

Lincoln Unified is a place where students can develop a lifelong talent and passion for music through hands-on instruction and commitment from their teachers. We are proud to be named one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation, in recognition of the access we provide for music education at multiple grade levels. This is Lincoln's 11th year receiving this honor.
Throughout the 2025-26 school year, music students have set goals for themselves while becoming more confident and skilled at their instruments of choice. This month, our student musicians have demonstrated their talents and growth at Spring Concerts throughout the district. We are proud of them, and we thank our staff for all they do to ensure a quality environment for music education!
