Graduation 2026 was a celebration of our seniors’ many diverse talents, including the many remarkable musical skills they have shared with our community. To start off our commencement ceremony last week, LHS Choir members sang the National Anthem. After the Class of 2026 received their graduation certificates, the Choir joined our Band students for a joint performance of the Lincoln Alma Mater!

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Last night, Lincoln High School seniors joined Village Oaks' graduating class for a commencement ceremony celebrating the human connections our students have made throughout their time in Lincoln Unified.
We are proud of every senior who remained dedicated to their classes and on-campus activities while showing kindness toward each other and inspiring their fellow students. We look forward to seeing how they will positively impact others' lives while pursuing their dreams!
Our Valedictorians are looking back at many years of incredible memories with their friends and teachers as they get ready to graduate tonight! This year, four LHS seniors earned the title of Valedictorian by achieving a 4.0 GPA or higher: Ramya Rajah, Jared Chang, Ishaan Ajay and George Fuji. Mackenzie Wheeler made Lincoln history at the CIF State Swim & Dive Championship! She placed 5th in the 100 women’s freestyle, becoming the first ever Lincoln High School student to achieve this honor, as well as the first LHS Trojan to compete in the state championship event.
Mackenzie was ranked 11th in her division (7th Seed) heading into the championship. She is ending her junior year on an incredibly high note, and we know she’ll make LHS Aquatics proud as a senior next year!

Jason Aranda is a longtime Lincoln music student who is following in the footsteps of our many remarkable drum majors. Last weekend, Jason was the 1st Place Champion in the Parade Masters division of the California Drum Major Championships. For the 4th time in the last eight years, a Lincoln High School student has earned this honor!
Jason has been involved in music since the 4th Grade, when he joined his strings class at Brookside. When he became a freshman at Lincoln High last school year, Jason learned to play the flute in the Wind Ensemble. His goal was to join the marching band like his friend and former Lincoln drum major Atticus Chan. Jason learned the basics of marching and using a baton from his flute section leaders Viola Lee and Amulya Nakka while adapting to more difficult music. He also gained firsthand knowledge and experience working with previous 1st Place Drum Major Champions Zach Shi and Jackson Goudreau.
As a sophomore this year, Jason was sent to represent Lincoln at the 2026 California Drum Major Championships in El Monte. To win in his division, he completed a solo demonstration of the L Pattern, marching and spinning a mace to set music at specific distances. Jason felt good about his performance as he took the top prize in his division, scoring 95.25 points.
Though he was initially nervous about being in a competition with high school drum majors from across our state, Jason quickly found his peers from other schools to be friendly and welcoming. Jason has enjoyed his many experiences training and performing with other music students, and looks forward to practicing with his former drum major friends as he continues to develop his skills through his junior and senior years. Jason encourages other music students to experiment with various activities and performance styles, including field shows if they have not done them before.
We’d like to congratulate Jason on his remarkable achievement at the Drum Major Championships, and look forward to seeing how he’ll continue to help shape our music program!

At Lincoln High School, students can become involved in music classes as early as freshman year while gaining confidence and mastery of their preferred instruments all the way to graduation. Last week, our Spring Band Concert showcased the progression of our music curriculum with performances from the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble.
We are proud to offer band classes for all experience levels as part of Lincoln Unified School District, which was just named one of 2026’s Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants!
