This year we began a new tradition: A “Walk of Honor.” ❤️

Thursday morning, students and staff celebrated Vicky Tamayo and Cindy Chamberlain as they begin their next chapter, retirement. Their impact on Mesquite has been unwavering, and they have truly been pillars of everything we embody as a school community.

We hope your retirement is filled with traveling, camping, and plenty of good books. While we are so excited for you both, you will be deeply missed. Thank you for the lasting legacy you leave behind at Mesquite. 💙

Student Council is hosting Lights, Camera, Dance! on April 17 from 6–8 PM. Join us at the Mesquite Elementary MPR for a night of music and fun under the sparkling lights.

Admission is $5 for students and $8 for adults, and please remember that all students must be accompanied by an adult. We'll have pizza and a photo booth on-site, so bring some extra cash to grab a slice and capture the memories!

Best of all, proceeds will be donated to the inclusive playground fund.

🌈 Autism Awareness Shirts Are On Sale Now! 🌈

We’re excited to share that our Autism Awareness shirts are officially on sale now through March 16th!

All proceeds will go directly toward purchasing sensory items for our all-inclusive playground, helping create a space where every child can play, explore, and feel supported. 💙

Mesquite families are invited to sign Ava’s poster and banner to show their love and encouragement. Stop by, enjoy some food, and know that 25% of the day’s proceeds will go to Candlelighters.

Ava is a proud Mesquite student, and she has loved the support from her teachers, classmates, and community since returning from treatment. Let’s rally together to make this a special day for her!

Join us for a community night at Skate Country! We’re hosting a fundraiser on Friday, March 6th, from 5-7pm. We’d love to see our students and families there supporting the school. 🛼
