Did you know that Family Promise of Tulsa started a new pilot program with one of our amazing congregations Faith United Methodist Church, Tulsa?
The Cross Talk Sunday School classes adopted one of our units and came in and made it truly feel like home. Last week the second family moved in and started their journey. Tonight they received a wonderful meal, cooked with love, to welcome them home.
When we look at this picture, we donāt just see food, we see hope, love, true compassion, and the pure joy of helping a family in need.
Tonight was our families Welcome Home Meal, and I can honestly say the family felt the love. They were served fried chicken and baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, strawberries and bananas, brownies, biscuits, and potato salad.
As an extra blessing, they also received everything they needed to enjoy tacos for another meal, along with a special gift for each child.
Thank you so much, Gayle, and everyone in the Cross Talk Class, for everything you have done and continue to do. You said it was āfunā for youābut what you gave is so much more. It is love in action, and it matters deeply.
I am thrilled to say that a second class from Faith has adopted a unit and will start the process for a new family shortly.
Do you want to get involved? Let us know and we would love to tell you more.

As Motherās Day approaches, I canāt help but think about the love and strength mothers give, often quietly, often tirelessly, and often without knowing what tomorrow will bring. This year, I invite you to honor your mother, or the memory of your mother, by supporting a mother right here in Tulsa County who is facing a hard and uncertain season.
Mothers in Tulsa are doing everything they can to protect their children. But when the costs of housing, utilities, and essential needs keep stacking up, even a strong mother can reach a breaking point. Your gift helps provide the resources families need to stabilize, so they do not have to face this crisis alone. When you give to Family Promise of Tulsa County, you are not just donating money. You are helping give mothers their lives back. You are helping them breathe, regroup, and move forward with dignity and hope.
This Motherās Day, your gift can mean:
⢠One-time financial support to keep families in their own homes and utilities on
⢠Safe, supportive transitional housing for mothers, fathers, and children
⢠Resources that help families get back on their feet, and
⢠A real path forward toward stability and dignity.
Please consider making a donation to Family Promise of Tulsa County in honor of your mother. Let this Motherās Day be more than a celebration. Let it be an act of compassion that helps mothers in need.
