Drive slowly and stay alert for trick-or-treaters when traveling through neighborhoods this weekend.

If you've got a trick-or-treater in the house, review these safety tips with them before they head out. Make sure their costume is trip-proof & visible, and consider adding light(s) or reflectivity.Halloween Safety Infographic: Happy Halloween. Stay safe. Avoid masks that obstruct vision and costumes that drag. Be visible - carry lights and add reflective tape to costumes. Be street smarts - use crosswalks, stop look and listen, walk don't run. Bike Family Fest is Sunday! If you have a child (ages 2-11) this is an amazing FREE event where they can improve their cycling skills and even learn to ride. Plus, there are lots of fun activities, four different bike tracks/courses, music, and lots more.

If you've been interested in trying out an adaptive bike, there are 3 FREE events coming to Contra Costa where you can test ride handcycles, therapeutic trikes, and other adaptive bikes. Staff will match you to the right bike and help you get moving.
