The Alliance Française is the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world. There are 850 Alliance Française chapters established in 130 countries, including 110 chapters in the United States, serving 600,000 students. The Alliance Française de Washington is affiliated with the first of all Alliances, the Alliance Française de Paris.

Who is this French artist?
This French painter is a post-impressionist and started her career as a model for famous painters before becoming an artist herself.
She was one of the first women admitted to the Société nationale des beaux-arts
She was also the mother of Maurice Utrillo, a well-known painter known for painting scenes of Paris.
