Life-threatening hurricanes and extreme flooding in coastal communities have gotten worse over the years, costing taxpayers millions for recovery efforts.

The Administration’s budget proposal to eliminate federal support SPI and other cities rely on to save lives, conserve water and the environment, and mitigate property damage is dangerously cruel. Congress came together last fiscal year to reject this attack on our coastal communities, and we must do so again.
