Our Foster Care Program was honored to receive beautifully hand-decorated canvas duffle bags created by Capital One employees. Each bag is unique - a true work of art, and more importantly, a powerful reminder to the children we serve that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

For many children entering foster care, a duffle bag becomes much more than a way to carry their belongings. It represents dignity, comfort, and the knowledge that their community is standing beside them during a difficult time.

Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who help children feel safe, supported, and loved.

Every survivor deserves safety, support, and a voice.

Recently, CHILD, Inc.’s Executive Director joined members of the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence in Washington, D.C., to meet with Delaware’s Congressional delegation and discuss the vital services being provided to victims and survivors of domestic violence throughout our state.

These conversations are incredible opportunities to advocate for the children, families, and individuals who rely on life-saving programs every day.

Critical federal funding helps ensure that survivors have access to emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, safety planning, and the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

At CHILD, Inc., we are committed to standing with survivors and working alongside community partners to create a safer, stronger future for all Delaware families.

We are grateful to Delaware’s Congressional delegation for taking the time to listen, engage, and recognize the importance of investing in services that protect and empower those affected by domestic violence.

Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Every young person deserves a safe place to turn when life feels overwhelming. 💚

For some Delaware youth, home is not always a place of comfort and security. When family conflict, homelessness, or crisis leaves a young person feeling alone, CHILD, Inc. is here to help.

Our Runaway and Homeless Youth Program provides emergency shelter, counseling, family intervention services, and connections to critical community resources for youth ages 12–17. More than just a safe place to stay, we offer hope, support, and a path toward stability.

No child should have to face uncertainty on their own.

Together, we can ensure that every young person has someone to listen, a place to belong, and a chance to build a brighter future.
