The FPB together with the South African Police Service, conducted a raid in Polokwane Limpopo, resulting in the confiscation of illegal DVDs.

Some of the seized discs contain pornographic material, posing serious risks to children and potentially violating the Films and Publications Act.

We are committed to protecting children and keeping communities safe from harmful content.

The Film and Publication Board joined the launch of the Department of Social Development Trafficking in Persons Awareness Week at the Musina Multipurpose Centre.

The event brought together stakeholders and community members to raise awareness about human trafficking, promote safety and encourage collective action against trafficking in persons. We also highlighted important online safety tips to help educate and empower the community to stay safe on the digital platforms.

The newly appointed FPB Council attended its inaugural meeting, chaired by the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Hon. Solly Malatsi.

The engagement focused on strengthening governance, accountability and institutional performance, while ensuring that the new Council is well positioned to fulfil its responsibilities and advance the FPB’s mandate.
