Queensland a great study destination where you can fulfil academic and personal potential.

Australia recently ranked 3rd in the world for career and education opportunities.

And we're pretty proud of that.

The 2026 Henley Opportunity Index is a global report that measures how likely students are to succeed professionally after graduating in a particular country. It looks at things like earning potential, career pathways and quality of life.

Australia scored 80/100, sitting just behind Switzerland and Singapore.

Queensland is a big part of that story.

So when you choose to study in Queensland, you're choosing a state in a country that the world already recognises as one of the best places to build your future.

Pretty good reason to make the move 💙

Water safety is something we take seriously here in Queensland 🌊 Some of our international students recently completed their water skills assessment and we couldn't be prouder.

Before students can take part in any water activities here in Queensland, they complete a water skills assessment — a simple swim in the pool where they show us they can float, tread water and swim safely to the edge.

It's one of the ways we make sure your child can enjoy everything Queensland's beaches and pools have to offer, safely and confidently.

And if the backdrop for this one is anything to go by, we think they're going to have a great time 💙

Tonight, Queensland is buzzing 🏉💥

It’s State of Origin — one of Australia’s biggest sporting events, where Queensland (Maroons) take on New South Wales (Blues) in a three-game rugby league series full of pride, passion and a little friendly rivalry.

We asked around the EQI office… Maroons or Blues? 👀

At Queensland Government schools, sport is part of everyday life. Students from around the world come here to build their skills, be part of a team, and experience the energy of game day.
Thinking about studying and playing sport in Australia? Consider this your sign.

Go the Maroons! ♥️

Classes are moving outside today and we’re HERE for it! 🌿☀️

Today is Outdoor Classroom Day, a global movement that encourages schools to take learning outside — and Queensland is no exception!

For our international students enjoying Queensland’s beautiful weather and landscapes, we think today is pretty special. Whether it's a lesson under the trees or playtime in the sunshine, stepping outside does wonders for wellbeing, creativity and connection.

Do you celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day in your country? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Some of these ideas might be a little unconventional… but one of the best ways to improve your English is closer than you think 👀

Your Queensland teachers understand that studying in a new country can be challenging, especially when English isn’t your first language. They’re there to support you, answer your questions and help build your confidence — so don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it 💬✨

“The Queensland Academies are all selective entry, which means the students there really want to be there — this creates a culture of learning and excellence that you wouldn’t usually see.” — Jeff Cao, former Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT) teacher

Former QASMT teacher Jeff Cao has unique insight into the three Queensland Academies. At each selective-entry school, students benefit from:

🏫 state-of-the-art facilities
🎓 university partnerships
🌍 the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum — an internationally recognised program that opens doors to university and future career options in Australia and beyond.

Every great fashion designer starts somewhere — and for some students, that starts in Queensland classrooms! 💃

With all eyes on fashion this May (hello Met Gala and Devil Wears Prada 2 👀), it’s the perfect time to remember that every designer started somewhere.

In Queensland, that journey can begin in high school, with real opportunities to learn, create and bring your ideas to life.

Happy Mother's Day! 💙

Today we’re giving a very special shoutout to our homestay mums, who open their hearts and homes to students who are far away from their own families.

Meet Sharyn, a homestay mum at Coolum State High School 🏡 Watch as she shares what it's really like to host international students, and the beautiful connections that come from it.

To every homestay mum who has been a, ‘home away from home’, a familiar face in an unfamiliar place, and a little piece of comfort when we've needed it most - thank you.

You show our students the very best of Queensland and mean more to us than words can say.

Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of you 💙

“I’ll just stay one semester” – said every international student ever 😅

Somehow Queensland has a way of changing those plans. Bad Bunny gets it 👆

With over 300 days of sunshine, state-of-the-art facilities and genuinely welcoming communities, it’s easy to see why so many students end up calling Queensland home. And with pathways straight into some of the Australia’s top universities, one semester has a funny way of turning into a whole future 🎓

School holidays look a little different when you're studying in Queensland. 🌏

A group of our international students recently got back from an Outback safari, visiting iconic Australian landmarks such as Uluru, Kings Canyon, and Alice Springs along the way. They slept under the stars, made campfires, and ticked off experiences most people only dream about.

This is one of the things we love most about our Holiday Adventure Program. When students aren't in school, they're still out exploring and experiencing everything Australia has to offer.

Have you heard about our Holiday Adventure Program? Find out more in the 'Explore EQI' link in our bio!
