🌿🌱Thanks to our Year 3 and Year 4 students, our new herb garden in the Quad has been built as part of their Design Technology unit.

The recent rain will certainly help our basil, rosemary, thyme and lettuce thrive.
We have also set up some netting to keep the birds and possums from having the first taste of our plants.

Yesterday we hosted the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums band. They played a number of pieces on the bagpipes and drums with a mix of musical education as well.

Our students and staff enjoyed the performance.

As we bring a close to term 3 we are taking a moment to celebrate our prep students and their amazing writing.

This term they learnt about writing a procedural text. We visited the Carina Leagues Club to learn how chefs prepare meals by making some fairy bread.

This was our springboard into making our own pizza recipes that were proudly presented inside pizza boxes!

On Monday, our Year 1 and 2 students enjoyed a fantastic art incursion with RawArt! Linking with our English unit on magical creatures, students used their creativity to make their own amazing dragons. The experience also connected beautifully with our Science learning as students explored different materials, their properties and how they can be changed. What a wonderful day of creativity and hands-on learning!

Have you noticed the big green addition near our stop drop and go carpark?

Every 10c recyclable container that is deposited into our new containers for change bin gets directly donated to our school.

The challenge now is how long will it take for our community to fill it?

Thank you to our P&C for making this opportunity available for our school.
