HFQ supports people and their families & carers affected by bleeding disorders in Queensland are done so in a voluntary capacity.

HFQ is governed by an elected committee in line with the constitution. The committee meets monthly to monitor the direction of the organisation and relevant issues. Members of the committee that are elected into roles such as president, vice president etc. The day to day operations of the Foundation are coordinated by the Manager and the Administration Officer from the office in Brisbane. Registrations now open for the 2026 HFQ Community Camp! ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ’ฆโ˜€

Weโ€™re heading back to BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park!
16th to 18th October for another unforgettable weekend together.

This year weโ€™re swapping March for October, so fingers crossed for beautiful spring weather perfect for all our outdoor adventures and activities.

Weโ€™re busy planning another fun filled weekend the whole family will enjoy, with plenty of HFQ activities to connect, learn and laugh together, plus time for you to relax and make the most of the parkโ€™s fantastic amenities.

The cost of the weekend is subsidised by HFQ and includes 2 nights accommodation, Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, all activities and access to all park facilities.

Camp is only open to current HFQ financial members.

Take a glimpse into one of HFQโ€™s outreach clinics! ๐ŸŽฅ

This clip is from Tuesday 12th May during our visit to the Gold Coast University Hospital Outpatients Paediatric Haemophilia Clinic, we connected with individuals and families within the bleeding disorders community.

These outreach clinics are all about offering support, building connections, and making sure no one feels isolated on their journey.

In the coming months, we will be attending the following clinics:
Hervey Bay Hospital - 11th June
Rockhampton Hospital - 16th July
Cairns Hospital - 30th July
Townsville University Hospital- 20th August
Mackay Base Hospital - 10th September ๐Ÿ’™

On Saturday 9th May, we celebrated the incredible Mums, Grandmothers, Carers, and Mother-figures in our community. Your strength, love, and support mean so much, especially for those living with bleeding disorders. ๐Ÿ’™

Our Pre-Motherโ€™s Day High Tea at White Horse Ranch, Albany Creek was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share stories, and enjoy a beautiful day together. ๐Ÿฐโ˜•๏ธ
We also had plenty of fun with a general knowledge and bleeding disorders trivia game with a very clear winner! ๐Ÿ† Congratulations Lisa! ๐Ÿ‘
